Meet Ana

Ana Baciu, artist behind RAMURI STUDIO

A few notes about the person behind the prints.

Hi, I'm Ana.

Artist, dreamer, and proud owner of too many creative projects.

Born in Romania.
At home in Germany.
Usually making something.

01 / A few creative branches

I was born in Romania in the 1980s. I studied architecture, spent over a decade working in visual and UX design, and made contemporary silver jewellery.

Different tools. Different materials. The same curiosity.

“Ramuri” means “branches” in Romanian. A fitting name for all these paths, and a place to let them grow together.

Not a straight line. More of a rich tree.

I’m also studying psychology. Another kind of curiosity, this time about people.

02 / A change of address. And everything else.

I met the person of my dreams and fell deeply in love. A couple of years ago, I moved to Germany. We got married, and we’re still very much in love.

A new home. Another branch.

03 / On my worktable these days

Lino, ink, paper.

I carve each design and print each impression by hand. Small differences appear along the way. I like to leave room for them.

The subjects wander a little, too:

A dog with a big personality.
A house with flowers growing through its roof.
A woman, a bird, a little quiet.

Playful things. Familiar things. A little nostalgia.

A note to end on

Art made slowly.
With love. By hand.

Thank you for being here, and for making room for something handmade.

Ana
