First, I carve the design into a linoleum block using sharp gouges — the hare’s posture, the glow of the wisdom globe, the Frankfurt skyline reflected in the water all had to be balanced carefully in the composition. When the block is ready, I use a brayer to roll a thin, even layer of ink across it and carefully lay a sheet of paper on top. Then I apply pressure to transfer the image. The final step is peeling back the paper to reveal the print. My hands are involved in every single step.
