First, I carve the design into a linoleum block using sharp gouges — this can take hours or days. When it’s ready, I use a brayer to roll a thin, even layer of ink across the block, and carefully lay a sheet of acid-free paper on top. Then I apply pressure — sometimes using a glass baren, sometimes a wooden spoon, sometimes a printing press. The final step is peeling back the paper to reveal the art. Magic! My hands are involved in every single step. Because of this, every print carries its own small variations — tiny imperfections that make it genuinely yours, not mass-produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis print might live on the kitchen shelf next to actual poppies in a jar. First, I carve the design into a linoleum block using sharp gouges. This can take hours or days. When it's ready, I use a brayer to roll a thin, even layer of ink across the block, and carefully lay a sheet of acid-free paper on top. Then I apply pressure—sometimes using a glass baren, sometimes a wooden spoon, sometimes a printing press. The final step is peeling back the paper to reveal the art. Magic! My hands are involved in every single step. Because of this, every print carries its own small variations—tiny imperfections that make it genuinely yours, not mass-produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis print might live in a bedroom where you need calm. When a male is interested in a female, he becomes her literal shadow. He will waddle closely behind her wherever she goes—grazing through the grass, walking through the mud, and wading into the river. He doesn't rush her.
